Wow... It's hard to believe that it's been 4 years since NIGHTSHADOWS premiered at it's first film festival. Yet the film keeps on going (just like the Energizer Bunny). NIGHTSHADOWS has been selected to screen at FilmOut San Diego in April 2008. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this little flick...

www.AboutGayMovies.info has given NIGHTSHADOWS a great review, as well as a whole page, on their site...

"The cast and crew had a goal of making a genuinely scary horror movie with gay characters. Did they succeed in doing that? Yes! The characters are believable. The story is well written and the music adds to the suspense. The twist from a scary situation to horror is usually difficult but in Nightshadow well executed. Besides being a good horror movie it is a good gay-themed movie. The main characters are openly gay and the interaction between them is erotic and realistic. This could happen on a blind date from the internet with two cute gay guys in search for sex. Don't let the fact that it lasts only 16 minutes fool you. This is a movie worth seeing. I can't wait for the next movie by JT Seaton."

A write-up for the North Carolina Gay & Lesbian Film Festival discusses NIGHTSHADOWS in it's review...

"This film is not for the squeamish. The film is about a Book-of-the-Dead reading psychopath who lures men into his home to practice his eternal-life ritual. People would jump at the fast music, then would belt out nervous laughter. I thought that at one point I would have to cover my eyes! The last time I was so on edge in a movie was when I saw the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

NIGHTSHADOWS receives a small write-up on Zap2it.com as a featured film of OUTFEST: Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Here's what Zap2it.com says...

Short Films at Outfest 2004
By Dale Reynolds, Special to Zap2it.com

Mon, Jul 12, 2004, 12:07 PM PT

The Short Films -- mostly fiction narrative -- that were supplied to Zap2it.com are only a small part of what's available. As usual, they are a motley collection of sophisticated and amateur.

"Nightshadows" Writer/director: JT Seaton, 2004, USA, Video, 16 min. A mini horror film about an Internet date that goes horribly wrong, when the fellow at home (the sexy and deceptively amiable Jerry G. Angelo) is confronted with zombie-like young men whom he has slaughtered while having sex. Creepy and riveting.

NIGHTSHADOWS premieres at QCINEMA: FORT WORTH GAY & LESBIAN FILM FESTIVAL and takes home the Award for BEST GAY SHORT!!!

Nightshadows, directed by JT Seaton, USA
This chilling horror yarn about a young man trapped in a house and stalked by the shadows of his past is an unflinching, gutsy and utterly unforgettable step into a dark new frontier of queer cinema.
"We were absolutely delighted to offer the world premiere of this unnerving little gem,'' Camp says. "And the overwhelmingly positive audience response proves this is a genre for which gay audiences are hungry.'' - QCINEMA

The first review is in!!! Following a successful advance screening, John Sepulveda of GayWorld.Com has written the first review for NIGHTSHADOWS. Here is a quote from the review...

"This is not your average gay horror film. At first I was waiting to see who would be in his underwear first, but by the end of "Nightshadows" I was completely caught up in the story being played out. It enticed me to watch more closely, and wrapped it's scary story around me. Before I knew it I was afraid for Matthew's life and didn't know where it was all leading. The ending left me wondering - not just about the climax of the story - but also about how often we put ourselves in danger with our own anonymous liaisons, and why."
